Oz
This years school play was"Oz." The OZ! script is written by Tim Kelley and musical score is by Bill Francouer. This is a play about three characters and a girl named Dorothy who are on the way to see the great Wizard of Oz. Along the way the four friends discover many bad and good things. This year I played as a Munchkin and as an Oz girl. The Georgia Independent School Association, changed the rules back to a competition with first and second place winners at region and first, second, and third places at state. My ninth grade year our team placed first at the region competition and were guaranteed a place at state. Our team had our best performance at state and clenched the state title for our classification. We also had many actors that received individual awards. Our actresses who played Dorothy and the Wicked Witch of the West both received All-State Honorable Mention. The actresses who played the Lion, Scarecrow, and Tin man received All-State Superior acting awards.

Bostick, along with Munchkin Mayor Joseph Dixon, seated far right, were both given performance awards for their roles in the musical OZ!
