Portfolio of Work

Over the past two years I have already blogged about many things . My eighth grade year my teacher had me set up an Westwood Ning account. In with this site we were supposed to blog about  a topic every week. My very first topic was on the " Kraken Attack" that takes place in Pirates of the Carribean. Web 2.0 was my second topic, this was discussing what Web 2.0 is , and what it allowed you to do. As a ninth grader, I joined the Digiteen Ning, where we blogged for the entire year. After being put into the groups for the Digital Citizenship Project, we then began communicating over the Digiteen Ning. This lead to the Digiteen action project I was the project manager for this project. My group members were Mitch, Ryan, and me, and we were called the Safety Heroes. We made a website, and asked for the students in grades 2-3 to come to the computer lab then to go to a website created by me, where they then would participate in games teaching them how to act on line, and how to spot dangers.
      Recently my teacher had every one sign up for a group project in the Hippo Open Sim Virtual World. My group consisted of Toni H., Ashley M., Clayton L., and Ivy F. We all had different tasks in the building of our Island "OZ". We decided to use an Oz them of how Dorothy and her friends follow the yellow brick road in order to get to the Wizard. We took that them and used it as staying on the yellow brick road to College. We made note cards along the rode, as well as a College Campus at the end of the road. below is a photo of the entrance of the road and college campus.
