Our Varsity State Track Team 2009

Track

 My eighth grade year, I had the privilege of running varsity track. Varsity track was very different from junior varsity track. Everyone that runs in a varsity meet is faster and stronger. Being an eighth grader, I was very excited and at the same time nervous about running in varsity meets. The varsity track team won there third Region and State Championships my eighth grade year. This began 3 years ago when my brother Curry was a senior. Even though I was on the team the only event that I actually ran in was the 4x400 meter relay. I can remember Coach Ford saying that if one team didn't finish ahead of Briarwood, then would have come all this way for nothing. Now we have recently just started track season, and I am the second heat 400m runner. Also I am on both the 4x 400 relay and the 4x100.
